When I was 12
I read that the Prophet didn't have pillows or bedding
So I taught myself how to sleep on the floor without pillows just like him
I could sleep anywhere whether it be the platform of a train station or the waiting room in the hospital
It's been 11 years since I used a pillow
I do sleep on a bed but I miss that mind set
The one where I could find comfort no matter how much chaos surrounded me

What I miss the most is
being devoted to the idea of devotion

उलझा तो मुसीबत में फंसा देगी ये दुनिया ,
दुनिया है दगाबाज,दगा देगी ये दुनिया ,

ठोकर से जेर खाक,दबा देगी ये दुनिया ,
हर माल छीन लेगी,मिटा देगी ये दुनिया ,

चल छोड़ निकल और निकलने का मज़ा देख।
अल्लाह के रस्ते में निकलनेका मज़ा देख।।❤

Aksar insaan kisi or me dundta hai aur usme fakhir banne ghumta hai!

खाली खाली से मकान में आलीशान जहान ढूँढ़ते हैं
दिन के उजालों में अँधेरों का चाँद ढूँढ़ते हैं

बिखरे बिखरे से रेत पर मुकम्मल आयाम ढूँढते हैं
दीन से भटके हुए राही मंजिल का पैग़ाम ढूँढते हैं

ज़र्रे ज़र्रे से मिल जाने वाली खुशियाँ तमाम ढूँढ़ते हैं
पत्थरों से टकराने वाली दरिया ए आम ढूँढते हैं

गली गली से गुजरने वाली सहरा ए शाम ढूँढते हैं
परिंदों सा उड़ जाने का हौसला सेहर ओ शाम ढूँढते हैं!
