सब कुछ बदल गया इस दौर में
बस इसी वजह से उलझ गई है जिंदगी
जितना भी संभालने की कोशिश करती हूँ
उतनी ही बिखर गई है जिंदगी ।।

You can only feel the effect of either one of them with the compulsory added effect of the other.
Lack of either of them:

Today, the radio played our song
and I didn't freeze.
It was an overcast saturday,
I was just doing the laundry
and it took me almost a minute
to realise the song
to realise that
it doesn't make me sad anymore.
I paused, smiled
and opened the windows
letting happiness flood in,
finally.

एक शक़्स जो मुझ को अपना घर लगता है
और उसी को मुझ से मिलने में डर लगता है

मेरे गाँव में बहूत ज्यादा घमंड है एक तालाब को
और वो बादल है जो हर बार आकर बरसता है

किसी को अपना बना कर फिर उसको छोड़ देना
भला बताओ किसी की जान ऐसे कौन मारता है

तुम उस हस्ते चेहरे जैसे बनाना चाहते हो असद
क्या हो पता वो शक़्स भी रात भर खूब रोता है
