जब लगी चोट थी मुझको,
तुम मिले उस वक़्त पर मुझको।
हूं थी बेबस और लाचार सी मै,
की कोई समझ ना थी मुझको।
हाथ पकड़ कर बढ़ना सिखाया,
दुनिया से तूने लड़ना सिखाया।
बिन किसी रिश्ते के रिश्ता निभाया,
एक दोस्त का मुझे मतलब बताया।
सौ अंजान में मुझे जान बनाया,
फिर से तूने एक एहसास जताया,
मेरे होने का मुझे मतलब बताया।
कुछ गलत होने पर मेरे साथ रहा तू,
तू मेरा हो कर मेरे पास रहा तू।
क्या खूबसूरत रिश्ता निभाया तूने,
एक लाश को इंसान बनाया तूने।
की अब तुम चले गए हो,
और मेरी हिम्मत भी,
जैसे मुस्कुराते चेहरे से उसकी हसीं।
खुदा मिलेगा तो मांगूंगी,
उस वक़्त को वापस चाहूंगी।

Some, in tragedies that happen
Most, in melodies destroyed
And as these thick clouds pass over our existence
We lose faith and hope in the promise of tomorrow
Because the tragedies of yesterday, still hunt us today.
Everyone has a story
A piece of light in this dark tunnel of a Universe.
A guiding lamp, A loyal friend
A ray of hope that shines in the midst of the darkness
Beckoning with fierceness that we courageously brave the storm.
Everyone has a story
A meeting point, for tragedies and melodies
Sometimes in diverse events
And sometimes in loyal hearts
Yet when the Universe opts to help, with events and tender hearts
Be gone is always the sullen reply
I'm broken, not for use.
But broken crayons still color
As flawlessly and seamlessly as ever before
So when the rage of the past comes knocking,
Know the present also holds it's blessings
A midnight walk under dark skies
A warm embrace before all eyes
And slowly but surely, radiance returns
So by a day, or by the year
Know favor waits in love's embrace
Dust yourself up from the fallen ground
And get ready to color again.
