Is desh ki khaatir gaya tha wo,
phir kyu tirange mei lipta reh gaya wo,
Is mitti ki khaatir gaya tha wo,
phir kyu mitti mei hi khaak hogaya wo.
Wo maa Ka ladla jise ghar laut k aana tha,
Wo baap jise apne bachche ko seene se lagaana tha,
Wo mohabbat Kisi Ka,
Kisi Ka Sahara tha,
Intezaar Kisi Ka,
Kisi Ka dulaara tha.
Usse to sarhad se ghar laut ke aana tha.

With very few achievements,
I started this year.
With loads of responsibilities,
I paved my way forward.
A handful of sad moments,
Taught me to smile even in torment.
Whenever I was too depressed,
I reminded myself that this is not the end.
Every day of my life was filled with optimism,
And now I celebrate this new year,
With a new enthusiasm.
