Dear Babygirl,
I remember how you painted walls,
The way now I paint smiles.
We danced to the same songs
Before I had walked miles.

How you woke up to misty dewy mornings
&Played at backyard to make monsters fall dead.
Somedays... Years later, you'll cry all night,
& Wake up to absolute darkness in your head.
But don't You worry Babygirl, you'll survive.
We'll make it all through & we'll survive.

Those little oil paint stained hands...
You'll involuntarily cut them;
Then roll down the sleeves to work,
So, no one could see them
Another day: when depression takes over
You might choose to quit.
But don't u give up Babygirl, you'll survive.
We'll defeat the atrocities & we'll survive.

You'll grow to learn things you never wanted to;
I'm sorry Babygirl, You'll have to endure it all.
But know that amidst the people you've always loved,
There'll be those who'll pay to watch you fall.
But don't you worry Babygirl, you'll survive.
We'll grow magnificent as the sky & we'll survive. -R
