Not just about voting. It's about civil consciousness of a nation. Some think, Democracy is a place where minority is protected.
Well that's half truth and to be appropriate it's a half statement.
Democracy is a place where if majority of people are doing something stupid, still not getting influenced by that, the right thing would prevail, be it of the minorities view.
So, democracy is about doing the right thing. What is the right thing, it depends on that particular time frame.
