बे पर्दा हुए जबसे इन जालसाजों से,
ज़िन्दगी से ज़्यादा बंदगी हुई है मौत से।।

डरते नहीं किसी से हम इस कायनात में
डरते हैं, तो बस डरते हैं उस सूखी मौत से।
जो आती है हल्के सेे दिलो दिमाग पर
रह जाता है पड़ा ये तन ठंडी ज़मीन पर।।

इज़्हार ए गम किया था सबसे,सोच कर यही
कोई बात दिल के कोने में रेह ना जाए कहीं।
पर गमो में डूबा देख मुझे वो हस पढ़े यूंही
असल रूप ज़िन्दगी का मुझे दिख गया वहीं।।

बत्तर लगी मौत से मुझको को ये बेरुखी
जा रहा हूं मैं और तुम्हे शर्म तक नहीं।
आओगे इस मुकाम पर तुम भी तो कभी
ये ज़िन्दगी है इसके आगे किसकी है चली?
