I see the difference between a "How are you" and "[I really want to know] how are you" and react accordingly.
Waiting for the day someone knows the difference in my "I'm fine"

जब आसमान में वो गुलाबी रंग होता है
जिसमें बाकी सब रंग बिखरे नज़र आते हैं ।
जब हवा एक ठंड के साथ बहती है
और बारिश होने के बाद जैसी हल्की होती है ।
जब हवा के साथ घुली हुई सौंधी
और फूलों की खुशबू एक साथ उठती है ।
जब कानौं को वो धुन सुनाई देती है
जिसपे टहनीयां थिरक रही होती हैं
और पत्तौं की‌ सनसनाहट जिसे ताल देती है ।
उन रंगों को समेटते हुए पलटो, तो गहरे नीले के बीच
एक धुंधला चांद बादलों के पीछे छुपकर
सूरज के जाने का इंतजार करता है ।
उसपर चाहे जितनी शायरी बरसाई जाये और
सूरज को उसकी धूप के लिए कोसा जाये,
वो फिर भी अदब से सूरज के आते झुकेगा ।
वो जानता है कि अपने हुनर से वह
चाहे कितने दिलों पर राज करले और
जितनी तारीफें अपने नाम कर ले
उसकी यह रोशनी सदा सूरज की ही अमानत रहेगी ।।

बस ज़िद है कि जिंदा हैं
वरना एक मज़ार ही है,
जहां नाम आबरू है ।।
