Perhaps,
these h e a r t- woods
were made such
dry and hard,
so as to not let our desires
and aspirations become moth-eaten
with passing days and nights,
and to be able to bear
the weight of everyday life,
we carry with us,
as we lie down yielding in peacefully,
to the comfort that awaits us, beneath.
